I completed my LLB degree at the University of Zululand, my forever Alma Mater; did some cool things which landed me on TV (you can still catch some of our material on Imizwilili every Saturday). I was a part of the 2017 SABWiL Moot Court competition held at Thulamela Chambers, and I’d like to believe my partner and I won. I’m currently employed at the office of the Public Protector in the Knowledge Management and Legal Research Department, and I’m loving it.
Against odds specifically designed for my pleasure, I wake up, walk in, and get it done. I cannot succinctly go further in the explication regarding what makes it pertinent for the task or obstacle to either be completed, or moved, beyond that I desire for it to be so.
I wanted to participate in SABWiL because I was interested in not only its moot aspect, but also the people involved in its inception, granted…it helped that they went against the grain. The interest was not merely to ascertain the reasoning behind their set goals, but also to identify how they wear their decisive person.
Is it in a suit tailored to perfection ordained to fit the mould of professionalism; is it levitated 6 inches from the ground encased in Choose; is it leather-bound? Can you see it, this decision?
Over dinner she explained it, and I took from it what I required. Her decisive person emanated from the understanding that her work bore rewards, regarding which only a fraction were allocated to her for variants of the obvious reasons. She did the maths and the sum total was that her hands would put the full rewards of her efforts on her table, that to her made sense.
As you’ve probably established by now, in my view there are decisive and indecisive people. I however will not help form your decision, I will not be your motivation.
Get up, walk in, and get it done…if you want to.
